  • Abstract
    Gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) composed of MG49, lithium triflate (LiTF) salt and ethylene carbonate (EC) as a plasticizer is described. The formation of polymer-salt complexes was confirmed by FTIR structural studies. The effect of plasticizer on the ionic conductivity is explained in term of morphology of the film. The plasticizer found to increase the conductivity and reduce the crystalline nature of the polymer host. The improvement of the amorphousness in the plasticized polymer-salt complexes has been confirmed by XRD spectra analysis. The UV-Vis optical studies observed the energy band gap was reduced and associated with the amorphous domain of the samples.
