Abstract :
DC/AC converters are widely used in several applications, currently the DC/AC multilevel configuration has been proposed for high and low power applications. In this paper a single-phase flying capacitor multilevel inverter is analyzed, indeed an asymmetric operation is addressed. A modulation technique is proposed to assure the proper control of the converter, it consists of modifying the carriers to assure a good regulation at capacitors voltage, but also the traditional output multilevel waveform is changed. The operation and simulation and experimental results are presented.
