Abstract
Conventional Phased array antenna (PAA) had beam squint during scanning in wide instantaneous bandwidth, and the paper proposed a novel method based on optical true time delay (OTTD) to solve the problem, which adopted the hybrid architecture of by-pass and differential architecture to realize the OTTD. The novel method has characteristics of high delay accuracy, compact volume and low loss. The experiments show the proposed method, which can solve the beam squint during scanning wide bandwidth and have better amplitude-frequency and phase response character as well as.
