Abstract :
In this paper, we have investigated the characteristics of road surfaces status depending on electromagnetic polarization in vertical and horizontal, respectively. The emissivity of road surface of V-, H-polarization shows the different brightness signal level in receiver and it can detect by the experiment the different road surface status like dry, wet or ice covered road. This technology can be adapted for the future car safety sensor to reduce car accident by bad road surface condition.
