Abstract :
This paper is aimed to improve the timeliness of the prediction of natural disasters by introducing an efficient LSD algorithm (Least Squares Method) compared to the model based on the Doppler radar, and meanwhile observe the hotspots of meteorological and geologic hazards in particular areas. The system is capable of the monitoring work and will give early warnings of such disasters where it is observing. Therefore, people are allowed to have sufficient time to get prepared for the coming disasters. Linli County, in Hunan Province of China, is taken as an example herein to further illustrate the usefulness of this system.
