Abstract :
This paper describes a low-power non-coherent BPSK demodulator with an inductive power-self-recovery and a data-clock-recovery circuit for implantable biomedical devices. The proposed demodulator adopts the dual band filtering technique and a digital deglitching circuit for recovering the timing and data. The inductive link uses a coupling factor k of 0.5. The recovered power regulator produces a single 1.8V power supply. In simulation with a 0.18μm CMOS technology the power-consumption of BPSK demodulator is only 82μW with a 2MHz carrier frequency, 1Mbps data rate, and 250μA internal load.
