Abstract :
This paper presents a cost analysis of Lithium-Ion batteries of electric vehicles (EV) for driving and for vehicle-to-grid (V2G) utilisation respectively. Based on the simulated mobility pattern, the charging possibility of each EV battery could be determined according to the assumed charging scenario. With regard to the available charging cycles depending on depth of discharge (DoD), the battery wear of each individual usage and its corresponding cost have been evaluated. Furthermore, it was verified if and to what extent the additional wear cost caused by using EV battery for providing controlling power could be covered by the market remuneration.
