Community, Knowledge, and Opportunities: Hashimoto aiming to provide more power to WIE [Women to Watch]

As Prof. Takako Hashimoto, the 2015 IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) chair, steps into her new role, she\´ll do so with goals centered around shared knowledge, connection, and communication?drawing heavily on her own background in industry, academia, humanitarian technology, and regional leadership roles within WIE. "As the IEEE WIE chair, I\´d love to engage members to empower female engineers and students by leveraging IEEE WIE\´s own strength," she says. That means activating "the opportunities we provide for networking, information sharing, mentoring, and finding role models and precious friends through various membership engagements."
