Abstract :
A low-power power management circuit for System-on-Chip (SoC) in Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is presented in this paper. It consists of a low dropout voltage regulator (LDO), a bandgap reference (BGR), two voltage comparators and microcontroller unit (MCU) interface circuit. It supplies a 3V voltage and a current up to 50mA for other IP cores of the SoC in TPMS. It has the function of voltage monitor for power-fail and low-battery. The LDO and the BGR have been processed in 0.35μm BCD automotive electronics process technology. The test results show that the total quiescent current of the LDO and the BGR is 233μA when the load current is 50mA.
