Abstract :
In this paper, non-dispersive FDTD formulation by means of implicit ADI-FDTD method is utilized to simulate electromagnetic wave propagation in metamaterial of DNG origin that has both negative permittivity and permeability. The problem formulation is achieved by means of auxiliary differential equation method (ADE) to simplify the dispersive Lorentzian media. The properties of metamaterial conform to their speculations of negative refractive index and energy absorption. The results achieved elucidate the validity and effectiveness of this method in analyzing electromagnetic wave propagation in (DNG) metamaterial.
