Abstract
A cochlear implant is an electronic device that replaces the function of the damaged inner ear. The recent developments for cochlear implant are especially at the stage of the analysis of the sound and the strategies of stimulation. In this paper, we explore the use of a particular auditory filter-bank based on the Differentiated All-Pole Gammatone Filter (DAPGF) for frequency decomposition. The results show that the shape of the DAPGF filter has a better contribution at low frequencies compared to the conventional filter in noisy conditions.
