  • Abstract
    An in-house general-purpose microcontroller-based pulse generator is presented and described in detail. Besides producing a pulse train with assigned specifications, the system is provided with an auxiliary unit devoted to measure on-board the I-V characteristics of various device categories. The pulser is successfully adopted for the isothermal characterization of packaged power BJTs and MOS transistors, as well as of on-wafer SiGe:C HBTs.
