Abstract :
The increase of wireless applications and the rise of number of gadgets has made it imperative that designers transfer the complexity of hardware to software. It provides multi-standard support for the wireless devices such that software enables manifold radio functions independent of hardware. On this basis, a lot of development is going on in the field of Software Defined Radio using GNU Radio and USRP. USRP provides the hardware platform for transmission and reception of GNU radio. In this paper, transmission of string type data from one CPU to another CPU has been implemented using GNU radio library and USRP.
