Abstract :
We demonstrate core-pumped gain-guided index-antiguided CW fiber lasers using a 22-cm-long dispersion-engineered erbium-doped fiber with core diameter of 3.2μm. The index of core is higher (lower) than that of cladding at pump (lasing) wavelength, respectively.
