  • Abstract
    The Mir submersibles during 25 years provided wide spectrum of scientific research and special underwater technical operations. The submersibles confirmed their high reliability, safety, high effectiveness for any kind of deep ocean operations. The data, obtained by the Mirs were published in 20 books, in over 1000 articles in Russian and foreign editions, and defended 14 doctor degree dissertations. The Mirs made great contribution to world and Russian science.
