Abstract :
We developed and installed telemetry, of the induced effects, to an electrical network, from geomagnetic storms, using field & temperature sensors spread out in the electrical power network, near to the recording centre, communicating reliably, through the power lines. The telemetry´s transceivers communicate in the regulated D-band (140-148.5 KHz), with a Pulse Position Modulation code type, in order to avoid collisions and minimizing the interference and noise, that may be obstacle the real time sensing-observing system of the electric & magnetic Extreme Low Frequencies (ELF) fields and of the transformers/ambient temperature difference as well. In the collection centre we add the option of compare the measured values with the standards & limits (Harmonics, Electro-Magnetic Compatibility, Transformers temperature). In our paper we include the dominant information of the specialized sensors and transceivers that we developed, and of the measurement-recording unit, accompanied by the results of the main impact parameters, during a geomagnetic storm, from laboratory applications of this type telemetry. The final conclusion is that we develop a reliably and small cost sensing telemetry, over the power networks, for the induced impacts from geomagnetic storms.
