Abstract :
This paper discusses a new method that predicts coding regions in the DNA sequences. By using complex mapping of nucleotide sequence and Fourier spectral characteristics, the method employs a model of the period-3 periodicity of exons. This technique improves the coding prediction accuracy that distinguishes between coding and non-coding regions by boosting the protein coding region and suppressing the non-coding region within the DNA sequences.
