Abstract :
It doesn´t seem so long ago that analysts were predicting a ´thin-client revolution´ where function-fatted desktop PCs would be replaced by leaner, greener terminals that almost harked back to the original tenets of centralised computing. While organisations buy fewer standard PCs and laptops for their desktops, the rise of enterprise mobility has meant that the thin-client market has not taken over the desktop computing requirement as some predicted.
