Abstract :
Integrative leadership is a requirement for 21st century socio-economic development, noting the increasing levels of complexity that arise where electronic communications technologies and new media influence the course of such development. Continuous monitoring and evaluation is a necessary contributor to integrative leadership, as increasingly integrative thinking needs relevant and timely research data and analysis to inform such e-leadership. This paper presents an outline of the information society and e-government monitoring and evaluation framework designed for the Gauteng Provincial Government in South Africa, and explains its applicability to innovations in e-leadership as a means to fostering the evolution of an information society.
