Abstract :
With the advent of the 21st century the inclusion of electronic systems in almost all the aspects of life is very common. Technology advancements have provided intelligent systems with advanced functionalities that could ease any given process. The 21st century has been evident of the ground breaking research carried out in vehicular technologies. Various electronic driver assist systems have been employed for ensuring ease and safety of the users. Modern day cars represent a symbiosis of several electronic subsystems that collaboratively give a safe and sound driving experience. The complexity of the functions implemented in these systems necessitates an exchange of data between them. With conventional systems, data is exchanged by means of dedicated signal lines, but this is becoming increasingly difficult and expensive as control functions become ever more complex. Controller Area Network is a high performance and high reliable advanced serial communication protocol which effectively supports distributed real time control. The concept plans to make a prototype displaying communication pattern between various electronic modules of a car.
