Abstract :
This paper describes the design of a wireless Electroencephalograph (EEG) system using a new generation of high resolution Analog Front End circuits that minimize signal acquisition hardware and are aimed at simplifying recordings from patients by not requiring them to be tied down with current bulky recording hardware. Such a modality opens up EEG monitoring to more ambulatory themed studies, and further solidifies the future of EEG for diagnostic applications by providing a way for investigators to easily record from active subjects and be less intrusive while doing so. Design was validated with Alpha Band monitoring when eyes are open vs. closed and observing a 40dB increases in 12Hz RMS power when eyes are closed.
