Abstract :
This paper deals with the statistical properties of the Rician-K channels, the product of a Rician process and a K process. From the moments characteristics of the Rician-K process we estimated the parameters of the Rician-K channels. Then, we derived the second-order fading statistics of the Rician-K channels, known as level crossing rate (LCR) and average fade duration (AFD). Numerical computation results are presented to show how the statistical properties of the LCR and AFD vary with the parameters of Rician-K channels. For more, we validate the Rician-K model from the field experimental data and also compared it with other widely discussed mobile satellite channel models.
