Abstract
In this study measurements of temperature and airflow are used to compare three CFD models with different levels of modeling detail; a simplified model, a detailed model solved with reduced computational complexity and a full detailed model. This paper shows that the simplified model produces inaccurate results that would lead to incorrect conclusions about facility performance but the computationally simple model produces results that are good for conceptual design.
