Abstract :
A current controlled switching strategy using multi-dimensional feedback quantized modulation is proposed in this work. The proposed strategy finds an optimal state that minimizes the power of current error, in contrast to conventional space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM), which switches states in an equivalent mean phase voltage manner. The main advantage is that the output power factor is increased, i.e., an improved power efficiency. The proposed scheme is applied to the control of 3-phase permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The simulations confirm the proposed control strategy.
