Abstract :
A genetic optimized approach, targeting the complexity of parameter selection in a line-of-sight (LOS) optical wireless channel, is presented. The algorithm produced is an application-specific algorithm that utilizes the concept of evolutionary algorithms to present an optimized solution for external parameter selection that leads an optimum bit-error-rate at the receiver photodiode. The algorithm can accomplish the task of showing instantaneous status of the channel with acceptable complexity and reliability. The analysis shows that the proposed algorithm might be of benefit for tackling similar problems by adapting the upper and lower bounds of parameters, and the fitness function governing the generated population.
