Abstract :
This paper presents a reliable analytical mathematical model for estimation of the steady state performance of large capacity turbo generators. The model emphasizes on inclusion of the magnetic saturation factors in the performance prediction of the generators. The analytical calculations are validated with the tests performed. The influence of the basic design parameters on the performance estimation are discussed in detail. The application of the developed model on a new design is outlined.
