Abstract :
In this paper a heuristic based method is proposed. The power system is made completely observable by finding the strategic location for PMU´s. The simultaneous optimization of minimum number of PMU and maximization of measurement redundancy are performed. Measurement redundancy is performed based on the reliability TESt. Results for IEEE14-bus, 30-bus, and New England 39-bus system were simulated and compared with existing technique.
