Abstract

Grid infrastructure and middleware becomes a technology used by many applications and, as a result, the number of jobs running in GRID is continuously growing. The process of installation, configuration and testing of a GRID site depends on the specific middleware suite and also it is important to choose the middleware according with the available VOs (virtual organizations). In this paper we describe the process of migration from gLite [1] to EMI (European Middleware Initiative [2] middleware for the GRID site of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi: RO-16-UAIC. The process of installation, configuration and testing of RO-16-UAIC, also optimization of the installation procedure, are described.
