Abstract :
A CPW-fed folded-UWB monopole slot antenna for WiMAX and WLAN applications are presented. The proposed antenna covers a rectangular aperture, two inverted L-shaped slots, a coplanar waveguide (CPW) feed line, two switches, a T-shaped stub and C-shaped slot. The antenna is designed on the FR4 substrate of 35mm (width) × 30mm (length) × 1.6mm (thickness), and is optimized by CST Microwave Studio. The simulation results show that the antenna is of UWB characteristic and reveals band rejection of 2.9-3.8 GHz and 5-6 GHz, which covers WiMAX and WLAN communication.
