Abstract :
Knowledge base is a central part of intelligent system, so knowledge representation plays an important role in constructing these systems. Nowadays, there are many various methods for representing knowledge. In fact, a popular form of knowledge domain is knowledge about relations, however, the current models are not efficient for executing and reasoning on this kind of knowledge domain. Those methods have limitations in applying to represent this knowledge domain. In this paper, a knowledge model about relations has been proposed, called Rela-model. This model includes concepts that are foundation of model and representing the relationships between these concepts. Through that, the algorithms for designing inference engine of model have been built up. Moreover, Rela-model has been applied to specify a part of knowledge domain about plane geometry and construct a program for solving some problems on this knowledge domain.
