  • Abstract
An oversampled Interleave Division Multiple Access (IDMA) scheme is presented to improve the performance of the conventional IDMA system significantly. A fractionally spaced equalizer with polyphase subchannels is used for oversampling in the receiver of the IDMA system. Each oversample taken at the receiver gives better estimation for the specific user data with relatively low correlation, due to the positive effect on oversampled noise components. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the proposed scheme of the IDMA with oversampling offers the improved bit-error rate (BER) performance of the IDMA systems.
