The considerations in using a mind mapping APP

The purpose of this study is to investigate the rules and features of the interface that should be considered and direct a designer to operate a mind-mapping APP on a smartphone. The study includes an experiment with 30 designers who are familiar with iPhone´s interface. Our analysis shows that some simple icons or indicators can lead those designers to make a mind map easily. As well as some specific icons consistently been adopted on the interface of the APP to show similar functions can reinforce their experience to complete a similar task easier and faster. Besides, using appropriate texts or icons as the indicators on the working page of the mind-mapping APP can introduce a new approach to users.
