Abstract :
This work presents metrological aspects of measuring modulated and multi-frequency electromagnetic field (EMF) focusing on common broadband meters. Authors show, that modulated and multi-frequency EMF measurements using typical devices are encumbered with large measurement errors. Theoretical approach is presented, in relation to the construction and operation of a typical EMF detector, confirmed by test measurements results, carried out on a special multi-frequency EMF standard setup. Showed the preliminary results of influence of modulated and multi-frequency EMF on measurement result. In conclusion, presented the solutions for proper measurement method and limiting measurement uncertainty of multi-frequency EMF measurements.
