Abstract :
This paper presents a deliberative, semi-automatic, semi-cooperative personal Meeting Scheduling Agent. The Agent is expected to guide Meeting Scheduling Agents to select appropriate negotiation strategies to resolve or avoid meeting conflicts via automated negotiation. We view scheduling as a strategic agreement problem. In a strategic environment, strategies play crucial role concluding negotiation process and bring a possible win-win result. The proposed Agent is designed using model-based, goal-based methodology that uses special communication protocol guided by simultaneous response protocol. Naïve Bayes model of Maximum Likelihood Estimation is used for evaluating meeting invitation subjected to user preference, participant´s importance for the meeting, schedule availability and hence guide meeting scheduling agents to select appropriate negotiation strategies.
