Title :
High-throughput fiber links for computercom interconnects
Author_Institution :
IBM T. J. Watson Res. Center, Yorktown Heights, NY, USA
Abstract :
With some high-performance computers now deploying >105 fibers per machine, next-generation systems must increase levels of optical integration and bandwidth-per-fiber, decrease component power and cost, and maintain manageable complexity by leveraging automation where possible.
