            Abstract : 
A VCSEL-based multimode fiber optical link using 32nm SOI CMOS circuits is demonstrated. Record optical link power efficiencies of 1pJ/bit at 25Gb/s and 2.7pJ/bit at 35Gb/s are achieved.
