Abstract :
Analytical OSNR formulation is developed and validated with 100G-DP-QPSK-WDM experiments. Considering EDFA-output limitation, span length is optimized for subsea systems, and fibers with possible low attenuation and Aeff of 110-140μm2 are found to be optimal.
