Abstract :
Recent development of ultrahigh spectral efficiency coherent optical orthogonal frequency-division multiplexed (OFDM) signal modulation with polarization-division-multiplexing (PDM) has been reviewed which includes 128-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), 256QAM and 1024QAM at each modulated subcarrier.
