Abstract :
A method to distinguish single- and equidistant multi-target reflections in optical monitoring is successfully demonstrated. The polarization dependent transmission in field deployed fiber PON-infrastructure was evaluated by combining polarization diversity detection with frequency modulated continuous-wave.
