Abstract
Vellore is one of the high insolation places in India. The original readings of monthly average daily global radiation for horizontal surface is obtained for Vellore and are compared using various existing models. We have used Twenty one models that are applicable in India and surrounding places. The analytical and experimental data are tabulated and compared to find the most appropriate model on the bases of minimum statistical errors. The models are validated with experimental data collected for a term of twenty four months.
