Abstract
In this paper an applicative example of the GLRT detector has been presented in order to clarify interpretation of results when it is applied to measurements from atomic clocks. It has been shown that a correct employment of the information estimated in the detection process allows both the identification and the timing-location of the clock faults. Moreover, it has been emphasized that the a-priori knowledge of the statistical performance of the detector gives criteria for implementing the detection process which is strictly dependent also on the parameters of the employed measurement system.
