Abstract :
The use of vegetation barriers has been proposed as a method to reduce the electromagnetic pollution in sensitive areas. A depth analysis of attenuation due to different tree species, measured as isolated elements that cut the radio link between transmitter and receiver as well as the performance of vegetation barriers, has been previously published. Now, the analysis of the stability along time of this induced attenuation is presented, by using the Markov chain theory. This stability with time must be as important as the attenuation strength itself when selecting the specie more suitable for constructing a barrier.
