Abstract
This paper briefly reviews recent progress in antenna, propagation, and dosimetry studies for body-centric wireless communications at 60 GHz. First, a millimeter-wave tissue-equivalent phantom useful for antenna measurement, on-body channel characterization, and measurement of power absorption in the skin is introduced. Then, an accurate SAR measurement technique is discussed. Finally, the effect of the human body proximity on performances of off- and on-body antennas is investigated.
