Abstract :
An iterative method is proposed to evaluate the directivity of antenna arrays. A new algorithm which results in considerable saving in computation (up to 98%) is introduced. A uniformly spaced linear array is used to demonstrate this new method. Unlike the conventional method, results are accurate even if an initial coarse angular resolution is used in the iterative method. Moreover, this new method accounts for a stop condition to control the accuracy of the results.
