Abstract :
This paper investigates how arm movement during walking action would affect wireless radio channel on a body area network. The paper shows how much the degree of arm movement during walking action could influence the S21 value comparing to the effect of the model´s height. All experiments were done in a video studio so an indoor multipath environment could be expected. The channel transmission gain S21 of a main model and 5 additional models with similar height had been collected while they were performing walking action having two antennas attached on their right wrist and left chest. An arm movement experiment was done using a different model who was standing still before then moving his right arm to a different angle while S21 was measured.
