Abstract
A novel reconfigurable metamaterial-based antenna is presented. The active element is a Zeroth-Order Resonator (ZOR) antenna, which consists of a cascade of unit cells of epsilon negative transmission line. The reconfigurability of the radiation pattern is obtained by introducing two passive elements located in the near field of the ZOR antenna.
