Abstract :
This manuscript considers Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) measurements for recent usage trends and new technologies. The SAR of a Universal Serial Bus (USB) dongle wireless device inserted into host device, e.g., a laptop PC, is investigated based on numerical simulation and measurement. Then the SAR from antennas built into a laptop PC is studied based on numerical simulations. Another important issue is how to measure the SAR with respect to new technologies such Long Term Evolution (LTE) devices.
