Abstract
The performance of a dual-polarization frequency scanning array antenna, operating in the frequency band of 2.7 - 3.0 GHz, for weather measurement applications is demonstrated. The dual polarization capability, high isolation, and low sidelobe requirements makes the antenna design cumbersome and challenging. In order to achieve these requirements, differential feed strategy in designing a single layer frequency scanning array is used. The antenna is fabricated and the measurement results are provided.
