Abstract :
Lens designs for array antenna applications based on quasi-conformal coordinate transformation are presented such that a physical curved/linear array is transformed into a virtual linear/curved array. For the two-dimensional TE polarization, the carpet-cloak transformation and its inverse are appropriate mappings for such virtual arrays. Potentially over a broad bandwidth, such lenses can be custom designed for existing array antennas to enable new scanning functions.
