Abstract :
This paper presents a new design of Ultra-wideband (UWB) coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed spiral shaped slotted antenna patterned on a circular conducting patch on the top face of the CPW substrate. The antenna operates in the FCC band [3.1-10.6] GHz with return loss better than 10 dB across the band. It also possesses omnidirectional pattern especially at the lower frequencies with good gain. The group delay is almost uniform across the band.
